Fire Devices

Step 1 – Go to Fire device Settings by holding in the home button for a couple seconds on your Fire Device remote and scrolling over and pressing on settings. Then select My Fire TV or Device and Software.

Step 2 – Select Developer Options on and turn on both switches for ADB Debugging and Apps from Unknown Sources.

Note: If Developer Options isn’t there you’ll have to enable developer mode. Do this by scrolling up to About and pressing on it. Then on the next screen your device name should already be highlighted. Simply, press on the select/center button 7 times. You’ll then get a message that will say “No need, you are already a developer.” Now press the back button and you’ll see Developer Options is now there to make the adjustments above.

Note: On some Fire Devices you may not have an option to turn on apps from unknown sources and you may need to approve each application individually.

Step 3 – Use the search widget on the top left corner of Firestick’s home screen (On new layout you’ll want to select “FIND” and the search will be there) and do a search for the Downloader app for Firestick.

NOTE: You may have to do a voice search for the Downloader app for it to pull up on the marketplace.

Step 4 – Select on the Downloader app, and download it.

Note: You may see a popup notification asking to enable Javascript. Select OK to remove the popup, enabling java is not necessary on most devices. However, if it requires you to do so, go to the settings of the Downloader application and select enable Javascript.

Step 5 – Open the app, approve the pop-up message, and type in this URL Short Code: 23826 then select Download and install.

NOTE: If you were unable to turn on apps from unknown sources and you need to approve each app individually you’ll get a pop-up saying you are not allowed to install the app. Just press on the option to go to settings from the pop-up and it will bring you to apps from unknown sources. Then look for the Downloader app and switch it on. Next press the back button until you are back to the Downloader app and finish the install.

Step 6 – Once the app has installed you can delete the file from the Downloader app.

Step 7 – The iM Player application will be under your apps. Feel free to move it to the front.

Step 8 – Login using the management code that has been emailed to you. At this point your playlist(s) will begin to load. Once it’s complete, press to the left or long press (hold in for a couple seconds) to the left to bring up the categories.

Note: Depending on what playlist loads first you may be on a channel with no feed (Ie. a PPV channel with no event scheduled). Do not panic, your contents have been loaded. Simply press left as described above to pull up the categories. Then if you press left again you can navigate between your different playlists, if you subscribed to more than one.

Step 9 – Enjoy and don’t be afraid to play around with the application to get the hang of it. You will not break it!

Application General Tips

When on EPG (Guide) view:

Long pressing the select/center button will bring up a quick menu of the app. You can also report an issue with a channel you might be having from this menu.

Long pressing to the left will bring up the categories menu. Pressing left again will bring up the Playlist menu where you can toggle between playlists if you subscribed to more than one.

Short presing to the left or right will let you navigate the guide.

Long pressing to the right will play the previous channel.

Pressing the hamburger menu button is the quickest way to get to the settings and toggle between different sections

When on full screen mode:

Long pressing the select/center button will bring up a quick menu of the app. You can also report an issue with a channel you might be having from this menu.

Short pressing to the left will bring up the categories menu. Pressing left again will bring up the Playlist menu where you can toggle between playlists if you subscribed to more than one.

Short pressing up and down will change channels (Channel zapping).

Short pressing to the right will bring up the last viewed channels menu.

Long pressing to the right will play the previous channel.

Step 1 – Download iMPlayer from the Google Playstore / Android Market.

Step 2 – Follow Steps 8 and 9 from above.
